ONLY two Rumah Selangorku housing developments are presently classified as "sick" or delayed, says state housing and culture committee chairman Datuk Borhan Aman Shah.
He identified the affected schemes as Rumah Selangorku Salak Mercu in Sepang and Rumah Selangorku Morib.
By comparison, 167 projects comprising 52,750 units under the state affordable housing scheme have been completed and handed over to buyers.
Borhan said the Selangor Housing and Property Board (LPHS) was monitoring the problematic developments and working closely with the developers to resolve delivery issues.
“Follow-up action is also being taken to ensure the homes are completed and handed over to buyers as soon as possible.
“Most Rumah Selangorku projects have progressed according to schedule," he said during the Selangor State Assembly held at Bangunan Dewan Negeri Selangor in Shah Alam.
Borhan was responding to a question from Jefri Mejan (PN-Ijok), who asked whether the state government planned to launch a publicly accessible dashboard to track project timelines, alongside details on delayed developments.
Borhan said LPHS currently managed state housing data through its eHartanah portal, specifically using the Sistem Permohonan Hartanah Negeri Selangor (Sepohon) module to manage applications and maintain records on the status of projects.
“LPHS would continue strengthening the module by improving the presentation of information and developing a more comprehensive dashboard.
“The improvements would allow the public and stakeholders to track the progress of Rumah Selangorku projects more easily,” he said.
He added that at the federal level, the Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) also operated the Transforming and Empowering Data Usage in Housing (Teduh) platform, which provided information on housing projects nationwide.
Replying to a supplementary question from Jefri on whether action would be taken against defaulting developers, Borhan said the state would issue notices, require recovery plans and impose administrative restrictions on non-compliant companies.
