A RANGE of job opportunities are being offered by The Ascott Limited (Ascott) in the hospitality and hotel sector, starting with Lembah Pantai residents in Kuala Lumpur.

A walk-in interview session was held at the Lembah Pantai job and training centre in Centrio Pantai Hillpark. The public also have the option to apply online for the jobs.

Successful applicants will be provided with training and additional education for them to be able to reach their potential.

The company is prioritising the B40 group, offering them a range of jobs in various sectors.

While very few people turned up for the walk-in interviews on July 5, Ascott marketing communications director Warren Fernandez said that in contrast, many people applied for the jobs online.

“Although few came for the walk-in interviews this time, I believe we will get a much better response next time,” he said at the event.

The next Ascott walk-in job interviews will be held in August.

The event was attended by Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil.

“We have to reassess the structure of the interviews as well as choose a better location and an appropriate time so that the event will be well-received,” said Fahmi.

“It will be good for youths to enter the hospitality industry as it will offer them bright prospects and they can also improve their communication skills.”

He also said they could climb the corporate ladder of opportunities and progress to be managers.

Also present was Ascott human resource director Anita Selvi.
