Pos Malaysia Berhad (Pos Malaysia) has collected more than RM650,000 in a flood relief drive.

The amount was donated before Hari Raya Aidilfitri to 710 Pos Malaysia employees who were affected by the recent floods in the country.

The recipients comprised non- executive employees, postmen and frontliners.

Pos Malaysia group chief executive officer Charles Brewer said he hoped the funds helped flood-affected staff members to have a more joyous Hari Raya.

“Thank you to the generous public and other employees who donated to the relief fund. They made a big difference.

“I am proud to see the camaraderie among our Pos Wira which is in line with our culture transformation efforts to foster highly motivated and engaged employees.

“The recent major floods caused the closure of various Pos Malaysia outlets and touchpoints, and affected deliveries to flooded areas.

“Despite the calamity, our Pos Wira worked tirelessly to restore services.”
