THE Baha’i community of Ipoh Garden and Pasir Putih organised a two-day conference.
More than 50 participants attended the event dedicated to “Building Vibrant Communities” held at Tambun Heights.
Local Spiritual Assembly of Baha’i secretary Tan Boon Tin said the conference was among 120 events to be held throughout the country.
He said the event was one of almost 10,000 conferences to be held globally.
“The conference focused on building vibrant communities dedicated to the development of character and potential of individuals as they contribute to the promotion of the welfare of the whole community.
“The event was also held to bring about better communities as we work alongside neighbours and friends.
“Since the conference was held close to Mother’s Day, 12 mothers and grandmothers were presented with red roses by the children of the community,” he added.
Tan said Baha’is believed that mothers were the first educators and the first mentors of their little ones, and that future generations depended on the mothers of today.
