‘RM1mil boost to aid programme sought’


Dr Chong says the state government mulling a proposal to allow aid recipients under JMJ programme the option to receive cash to settle their outstanding utility bills.

MORE than RM1mil is expected to be allocated for next year’s Jualan Makmur Johor (JMJ) — an online mega sale that offers daily necessities at discounted prices for the needy state-wide.

State unity, trade and consumer affairs committee chairman Dr Chong Fat Full said the programme next year was expected to be bigger and would include daily necessities besides food and baby products.
