IN AN effort to bolster the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, Coway Malaysia contributed 101 Coway air purifiers, worth RM312,130 in total, to four mega vaccination centres (PPV) in the Klang Valley.
The vaccination centres are Bangi Avenue Convention Centre (BACC), Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC), Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) and National Stadium Bukit Jalil.
The corporate social responsibility initiative was in line with Coway Malaysia’s aim to provide clean and healthy air for all, on top of serving customers who already have Coway air purifiers in their homes.
It was also aimed at giving peace of mind to the frontliners and volunteers tirelessly working at these centres to ensure a smooth vaccination process.
Coway Malaysia also sponsored three air purifiers and three water purifiers worth RM21,210, for the Covid-19 Assess-ment Centre Bandar Tun Razak in Cheras.
Coway Malaysia managing director Kyle Choi Ki Ryong said, “At this point, we believe that every single act of help, no matter how big or small, makes a long-lasting impact in the long run.
“This is in the spirit of our ‘We Stand As One’ campaign, which demonstrates our commitment to stand with Malaysians during these tough times.
“We are stronger together, and that will help us all fight this pandemic for a better Malaysia.”
He added that Coway’s air purifiers were equipped with HEPA filters.
“They are designed to not only purify indoor air but also rid it of contaminants and pollutants from mould and mildew, fine dust and dust mites, germs and harmful gases, as well as bad odours,” Choi said.
Coway was one of the first multinational corporations to leap into action at the start of the pandemic last year in support of frontliners and the nation, with contributions worth about RM2mil so far.
