Food for the needy provided by individuals and organisations


Generous individuals and organisations have come forward to help those in need of food during the pandemic. Among them are:

1) Over 50 Shell petrol stations now have their own food collection point. The list can be found at https://bit.ly/3kKG81p.

2) The Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya has a growing list of food boxes within Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Negri Sembilan. The list of locations can be found at https://www.rotarypj.com/BlessingBox.3) Klinik Yap & Looi Taman Cheras and Klinik Damai Perdana in Cheras have set up racks with food.

4) Self-service laundries with food banks include:

l Happy Laundry in Jalan Titiwangsa 3/2 in Taman Tampoi Indah, Johor Baru (Johor)

l Laundry 4 U in Jalan TK 1/11f, Taman Kinrara, Puchong (Selangor).

5) Praviin RA Anandaraman has set up food banks in Negri Sembilan at Kaki Lelong (Jalan Pantai, Taman Mewah), Hitech Frontier (Taman Orkid Batu 9, Jalan Pantai Teluk Kemang) and Port Dickson.

6) In Ayer Hitam (Johor), food banks can be found in Kampung Parit Haji Ali Tengah, Kampung Parit Nipah Laut, Kampung Parit Londang Laut, Kampung Seri Paya, Taman Mekar and Taman Suria.7) In Bentong (Pahang), the Kechara Food Bank (P6, Repas Point, Jalan Bentong Raub).
