Counting down to silver jubilee

Known as the 988 City Heartbeat Live Show, the live countdown to celebrate the radio station’s silver jubilee will be hosted by 988 pioneer DJ Chan Fong.

988, one of Malaysia’s leading Chinese radio stations, is celebrating its silver jubilee tomorrow with a line-up of new content, contests and events featuring an array of special guests.

The celebrations will kick off with the station’s very first live simulcast of its anniversary countdown via the 988 app, Facebook page and official YouTube channel tonight at 8pm.

Known as the “988 City Heartbeat Live Show”, the live countdown is named after the station’s signature radio show, City Heartbeat (Dai Seng Sum Si), and will be hosted by 988 pioneer DJ Chan Fong.

He also helms 988’s weekly City Heartbeat radio show where he plays big brother to listeners who call in seeking guidance and advice.

Highlights of the live countdown show include a glimpse into the life journeys, trials and triumphs of award-winning Malaysian actress Lee Sin Je as well as pop singer Michael Wong.

There will also be a heart-warming segment where several City Heartbeat listeners talk about how DJ Chan Fong’s advice has changed their lives.
