THE ferry service from the Kuala Perlis terminal to Langkawi island in Kedah has been halted during the conditional movement control order (CMCO) period.
However, the Roll on-Roll off (RoRo) ferry service to Langkawi will be operating as usual.
“The passenger ferry service will resume when the CMCO is lifted, ” said Ferryline Ventures Sdn Bhd human resource and operations manager Captain Baharin Baharom.
An observation by Bernama found that the Kuala Perlis ferry terminal was deserted.
The CMCO will be implemented in six states, namely Kedah, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Terengganu and Kelantan, until Jan 26.
During the same period, Penang, Selangor, Federal Territories (Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan), Melaka, Johor and Sabah will be under the latest movement control order while Perlis and Sarawak will be under the recovery movement control order. — Bernama
