FLASH floods in Taman Bunga Raya, Butterworth, and its surrounding areas are expected to be reduced with the completion of a flood mitigation project scheduled early next year.

State public works, utilities and flood mitigation committee chairman Zairil Khir Johari said the Penang government had approved RM2.2mil for the project.
