SINCE the movement control order (MCO) was imposed on March 18, garbage disposal in Kedah has reduced by about 10%, said state industry and investment, local government and housing committee chairman Tan Kok Yew.

He said before this, the daily average amount of garbage collected in the state was 1,500 tonnes a day but it is now 1,300 tonnes a day, and this figure is expected to drop further until the end of the MCO period on April 14.
