Cleaner method to dispose of rubbish during religious festival

Two pyrolysis units will be placed within the Batu Caves temple compound to process waste generated during Thaipusam.

THE Thaipusam celebration at Batu Caves this year will feature an environment-friendly waste management method, which has an advanced, scaled down pyrolysis unit that will turn rubbish into ash without emitting smoke or odour.

The initiative between Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Kuala Lumpur and Perintis Akal Sdn Bhd will see a better and cleaner way to manage waste.
