The Wadda Gurdwara Sahib is scheduled to undergo restoration works end of the year.
WITH about 40 odd days to the holiest Sikh community celebration of Guru Nanak’s birthday, the country’s oldest Gurdwara in Penang is closing certain sections of its building for upgrading works.
“We have to announce with a heavy heart the closure of the Darbar Sahib (main prayer hall) of the 120-year-old Wadda Gurdwara Sahib, ” said local government committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo.
