THE public can still use the existing Penang Island City Council (MBPP) and Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) parking coupons at areas not designated for the Smart Parking System.
State Local Government Committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo said that since it would take time for the smart scheme to cover all 36,000 council lots in Penang, people could still use the parking coupons.
