KUCHING: The time to process citizenship applications for children below 21 years in Sarawak has improved to between 16 and 20 months after a state-level special committee on citizenship was set up in 2016, says a state minister.
Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said the processing time used to be three years or more before the special committee’s formation.
