JOHOR BARU: Muhammad Norsaiful Amri Shammudin grew up hearing about his father’s heroic deeds as a fireman and he was his hero.

His father Shammudin Hasan, 51, had attended to many rescue operations during his 29 years of service at the Fire and Rescue Department in Ayer Hitam here and when he was killed in a mishap, it was hard for his family to accept.
