Today is the last day of the PomPuan show, a comedy extravaganza about all things weird and wonderful in being a woman.

1 COLOURFUL RUN Join a colourful run today at the inaugural Varna Run at the Universiti Malaya campus ground. The event, held in conjunction with the Holi Festival, begins with a 5km run followed by a fun-filled Holi celebration with food trucks, stage performances and a party of colour throws. Tickets are priced at RM15 per person.

2 WALK IN THE FOREST International Women Federation of Commerce and Industry Malaysia (IWFCIM) and Walk1000Miles Club, supported by the Taman Tugu Project, are holding a Walk in the Forest today at Taman Tugu from 8am to noon.

3 CAT SHOW The Malaysia Cat Club is hosting the International Cat Show this weekend at Jaya Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya. There will be talks on cat, merchandise for sale, adoption drive and contests for cats. The event will be held from 11am to 7pm.

4 COSPLAY COMPETITION Atria Shopping Gallery in Petaling Jaya is holding a cosplay competition today (for adults) and tomorrow (for children). The contest starts at 10.30am. There will also be a ramen-eating competition, drum performances as well as origami and soba-making workshops. For details, call 012-268 0383 (Crstyn).

5 POMPUAN SHOW Today is the last day of the PomPuan show, a comedy extravaganza about all things weird and wonderful in being a woman. 6 PAELLA COOKOUT Kuala Lumpur’s Paella Cookout Fiesta will be held today whereby chefs from Spain, Italy and Malaysia will battle it out at Mercat Barcelona Gastrobar in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, in front of a live audience to see who can whip up the meanest, tastiest and mouthwatering paella. The public will cast their votes to decide who will be crowned the Paella Champion of 2019. The event begins from noon onwards.

7 MELISSA INDOT IN KL Melissa Indot is performing at Alexis Bistro in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur tonight. The songstress will give fans a taste of what she has been up to, taking inspiration from her trips around the world. Her show starts at 10pm. For details, call 03-4260 2288.

9 ARTS AND CRAFT BAZAAR Sukaseni is celebrating this year’s International Women’s Day at the Boulevard in Publika Shopping Gallery, Kuala Lumpur until tomorrow. The event will be from 10am to 10pm with various activities such as arts and craft bazaar, cultural performances and talks.

10 MEET THE AUTHOR Meet author Philip Bowring together with poet and writer Eddin Khoo tomorrow where they will discuss Bowring’s new book, ‘Empire of the Winds’. Admission is free. The event begins at 4pm at Lit Books in Tropicana Avenue, Petaling Jaya.

11 WOMEN’S DAY FORUM Spot Community and Soroptimist International Club of Petaling Jaya are hosting a forum titled Women of Worth Series: Sex Ed today in conjunction with this year’s International Women’s Day celebration.
