THE state government has no plans to set up a new entity to handle solid waste management in Perak, says Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Paul Yong Choo Kiong.

He said meetings were held from time to time between the local authorities and State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) to make sure all parties were updated on matters regarding solid waste management.
