Doraemon items selling well at mall

JOHOR BARU: Animation International (M) Sdn Bhd is targeting more than RM1mil in sales through popular Japanese animation Doraemon merchandise from its pop-up store at Paradigm Mall here.

Its director Steve Chow said the 8,000 square feet store would be open until Jan 1 next year.

“This is our first-ever official pop-up store in Johor that we have collaboratively set up with Paradigm Mall Johor Baru.

Chow said feedback from the public was overwhelming and as such had to expand its purchasing counters to ensure smoother queue of visitors.

“Doraemon has always been a product that all people love and grew up with so we wanted to make sure his fans have hassle-free shopping experience.

“Some of the items are limited edition merchandise, for example the blanket and shirt which is not available anywhere else.”This are among the main attractions here,” he said.

Chow also said a variety of merchandise was affordably priced in line with the upcoming Christmas celebration.

“We want to ensure visitors who come to our store are able to take something back home.

“We want people to celebrate this year’s Christmas with Doraemon,” he said, adding that more special edition Doraemon products would be introduced soon.
