Hot spring water for guests at resort

JOHOR BARU: City dwellers can now enjoy a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life with the opening of KSL Hot Spring Resort at Taman Daya, the first resort in Johor with hot spring water.

KSL Hotel and Resort assistant general manager Simon Cheng said the resort features six hot spring pools, including two outdoor pools, jogging track, a gymnasium, saunas, a golf stimulator and karaoke rooms to give customers the best holiday experience.

“We want to provide our customers with a relaxing and rejuvenating experience through the facilities provided here.

“One of the key features at this resort is the natural hot spring water or ‘Onsen water’ that is rich in minerals and calcium,” he said.

He added that the hot spring water was transported from Jasin, Melaka, where it was produced naturally and was then treated before being channelled into the pool for visitors to enjoy.

“University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) helped us locate the best source of the natural hot spring water in Jasin.

“After the water is transported here, it is kept in a water tank and undergoes treatment before we allow it to flow into our pools,” he said.

Cheng also said the resort is strategically located near interest points around Johor Baru including malls and recreational parks.

“The resort is near Johor Premium Outlet, Legoland Theme Park, Ikea Tebrau and our very own KSL City mall as well as Dinosaur Alive Water Theme Park in KSL city.

“A free shuttle bus service to KSL City mall for guests will also be available in the near future,” he said.

He added that the resort has 308 rooms with four categories, which are superior rooms, deluxe rooms, premier deluxe rooms and executive suites.

“Each room is equipped with features such as a mini fridge, television, safe, air conditioning and Wi-Fi connectivity.

“In conjunction with our opening, we are offering customers a promotional nett price starting from RM138 per night from now until August,” he said.
