DEWAN Ria in Kampung Benggali will be converted into the Butterworth Digital Library under the Penang government with the co-operation of the Seberang Prai Municipal Council and Think City Sdn Bhd.

He added that the project would be funded by the state at a cost of RM4.6mil while Think City Sdn Bhd would bear the cost for the appointment of consultants which is estimated to be RM500,000.

“Once the digital library is completed in 18 months, it will be managed by the Chief Minister Incorporated.
