TANJUNG PIAI: Service to the people is what drives Barisan Nasional candidate Tan Eng Meng to give back to his community.
The 56-year-old, who will contest the Pekan Nenas state seat in the general election, said he was born and raised here and he understood the needs of Pekan Nanas and its people, both socially and economically.
“I served as councillor for Pontian District Council for 10 years and I never ignored my responsibilities.
“My main focus was ensuring the people could enjoy the privileges in all aspects,” he said during his campaign trail with incumbent Tanjung Piai MP Datuk Seri Wee Jeck Seng here.
Tan said he would continue providing service that prioritised the rakyat and one that would elevate Pekan Nanas.
He wants to create more employment opportunities and ensure smoother economic growth for the town.
“Together with Wee, we can address various issues in Pekan Nanas at the state and Federal level,” he said.
