THE Bandar Tun Razak township has come a long way since its humble beginnings as a settlement for retired army personnel.

The town was known as Kampung Congo in the early days when Malaysian army personnel who served in the Democratic Republic of Congo under the United Nations in the 1960s were resettled there.
