SOME stones are shaped just right for painting cute curled up dogs on them, and that was the inspiration for artist Ruth Yong, 68.

At her booth at the recent Artisan Market and Garage Sale in The Star Pitt St. in Penang, sat many palm-size stones showing dainty paintings of big-eyed dogs and even a few cats.
