KUCHING: Local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) should consider venturing into new businesses in Japan and capitalising on its booming halal food industry.

Sarawak Entrepreneur and SME Development Assistant Minister Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais said Japan had strong purchasing power for halal products.
