Highway construction continues to cause much grief for residents

Angry residents, together with NGOs Peka, TrEEs and the Malaysian Nature Society hold up a banner protesting construction work on the EKVE, alleging that this has resulted in environmental damage as well as property damage to their homes and residences.

Despite a stop-work order on the East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE) by the Selangor Department of Environment (DOE) since Oct 24, residents and stakeholders in Felcra Semungkis claim that work was in progress.

They are also in the dark as to the reasons for the order.
