THE season of giving is around the corner and as we look forward to Christmas and the New Year, let us spare a thought for the plight of underprivileged children living in welfare homes and orphanages.
The homes, which offer shelter to these children, depend on public support to pay rental, utility bills, food, toiletries and medication.
