FUN RUN

The Star Fit For Life Fun Run is back in Penang! Register for the Nov 19 run at Star Northern Hub in Bayan Lepas (Mondays to Saturdays) or The Star Pitt St. in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling (Mondays to Fridays), 9am to 5pm. Register online at http://sites.thestar.com.my/fitforlife/. Entry fee is RM20 per person. Students registering via their schools pay only RM15. Each participant gets a quick-dry T-shirt, goodie bag and a certificate on completing the run. Closing date is Oct 31 or when entries reach 5,000. The 9.5km fun run starts from SPICE Arena in Relau at 7.30am.

Penang Chinese Town Hall Library Management Committee will hold talks on SPM (9am) and STPM (1pm) tomorrow at its premises in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling. The SPM subjects are Bahasa Malaysia, English, History, Moral Studies and Chinese Language while the STPM subjects are Economics, General Studies, History and Accounting. FLOAT PARADE

A parade of over 90 floats around George Town, Penang, will kick off the Nine Emperor Gods Festival here. It will start from the Hong Kong Street Tow Boh Keong Temple at 6pm tomorrow.

CHARITY ChRISTMAS PARTY

Family Hope Welfare Association’s charity Christmas party is on Dec 9, 4pm to 8pm, at the Caring Society Complex, Penang. The event aims at helping single parents and the physically disabled with vouchers and hampers, and underprivileged children in need of school uniforms. Donations in kind and cash are welcome.
