With a goal of welcoming eight million visitors and generating RM11.7bil in revenue through Visit Selangor Year (VSY) 2025, Tourism Selangor has entered strategic partnerships to further boost the campaign.

The partnerships include four prominent companies, namely SONY Malaysia, Batik Air Malaysia, GL Play by Gamuda Land and Alpha IVF & Women Specialist.

A memorandum of collaboration signing ceremony was held with the four partners at the VSY 2025 Exhibition, which took place at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Building and coincided with the opening of the Selangor State Assembly 2025.

Datuk Ng Suee Lim, Selangor’s state executive councillor for Local Government and Tourism, said in a press statement, “The Visit Selangor Year 2025 Exhibition held in conjunction with the State Assembly is a strategic initiative to introduce this campaign to Assembly Members and the wider public.

“With strong government and private sector support, we are committed to enhancing the travel experience in Selangor, making it a must-visit destination in 2025 and beyond.”

To further expand the reach of the promotional efforts of VSY 2025, Tourism Selangor also partnered with Selangor Concierge Association, Prestige Lane Adventure Sdn Bhd, AVIS and the Selangor 4WD Association to create the official VSY 2025 vehicle stickers attached to the VSY 2025 Roadshow fleet.

An awards presentation was additionally held during the event, with 20 tourism associations awarded RM200,000 of Tourism Association Grants, as a way of recognising their contributions to industry development.

Another 20 recipients, meanwhile, were awarded Selangor Tourism Product Recognition 2024 in celebration of their efforts to enrich the tourism experience in Selangor. These included eco-tourism such as HL Dragon Eco Farm and man-made tourism such as Skyline Luge.

Running from today until Feb 21, the VSY 2025 Exhibition features over 30 key industry players, including hotel, medical and theme park operators. Visitors to the exhibition will be treated to exclusive promotions and discounts.
