Some are afraid to wear striking shades for fear of attracting attention or standing out a little too much, but it’s time to get that notion out of your system.

Fashion may say many things, but more importantly, colours, most of them at least, are proven mood boosters.

They can lift your spirits and spread a little joy to those around you too.

Wearing vibrant tones like red, orange and yellow instantly fuels feelings of confidence, vitality and boundless energy.

Teal, a blend of blue and green, is a less expected shade, often associated with sophistication and elegance, as well as rejuvenation, clarity and healing.

It is these qualities that make teal the perfect choice for Romyda KL’s latest line.

Showcased in conjunction with the launch of Teal Asia, Malaysia’s first peer-to- peer cervical cancer support movement founded by survivor Selina Yeop Junior, the Teal collection carries added depth and purpose.

Selina, the brand’s creative director coordinated the range, comprising casuals, suits and evening wear in a single, confident hue of teal.

That sense of feel-good dressing continues with Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2026 knit offering, which is happiness in dress form.

Part fuzzy and part knit, the playful number features knitted florals in pink, yellow, green, purple, orange and blue. It’s simply uplifting!

For a cool mix of hot tones, check out Fendi’s pre-Spring/Summer 2026 get-up comprising a bold blue cardigan paired with a striking turquoise skirt.

The duo’s dazzling shades are grounded effortlessly with an oversized brown leather bag.

Guys, too, are in on the colour movement, as seen at Saint Laurent, where a single-breasted suit in mustard takes centre stage.

The tailored creation is finished with a silky, high-shine necktie in brick red. What a power move.

When it comes to head-turning hues, Valentino knows best.

Part of the Italian label’s latest collection includes a beautifully textured creation, its surface shaped with raised, baroque-inspired patterns that bring depth and dimension to a rich, regal purple.

Short lace gloves in vibrant violet and nude-toned trousers complete the look.

Local label Yacutha, known for its clever colour clashes and playful print mixing does it again with a rainbow-striped top paired with an ethnic print skirt anchored by a warm orange base.

From Issey Miyake expect not only a fiery red colour but a design packed with hot attitude.

The Japanese brand turns up the heat with Urban Jungle, a sizzling-red dress with sharp, windmill palm-leaf-like accents that’s impossible not to notice.

Talk about a sharp, scorching statement!

Whether in striking, solid shades or bright, happy mixes, make your entrance in terrific tones and welcome the new year in colour and good cheer.
