Blazers, jackets and suits are the epitome of power dressing, but these days they can be used to put together a variety of different looks.

Whether it’s a board meeting or a job interview, a fashion event or a baby shower, the possibilities for this fashion staple are endless.

The women’s double-breasted suit in rayon blend from Sacoor Brothers is a piece that will help you command attention, perfectly for a business meeting or an elegant dinner.

With its sharp cut and two-button cuffs, this structured blazer in a warm camel tone can be styled with a crisp white collared shirt for the office or a sleek turtleneck for an evening event.

The oversized menswear-inspired look is a winning trend when it comes to dressing up for events, as seen on Luxembourgish-German actress Vicky Krieps, who wore Bottega Veneta to the 75th Berlinale International Film Festival in Berlin.

She paired an oversized melange wool suit and coat with a cotton stripe shirt, jacquard silk tie and pumps.

Another powerful look spotted on a celebrity was US actress Ayo Edebiri, who wore a custom Loewe grey wool tailored blazer, with a shirt, waistcoat and draped pants.

She complemented the ensemble with a gold feather necklace and oxford shoes, photographed on the red carpet of the 82nd Annual Golden Globes in Beverly Hills, California.

Another way to wear an oversized blazer is by pairing it with chic shorts or a skirt.

Sandro’s wool-blend suit jacket with long sleeves and double-breasted design is the perfect choice to complement a dress, a shirt and skirt or shorts, or even a white tee shirt and jeans.

If you like the monochrome look, take a page out of Australian actress Natasha Bassett’s book – she wore a Ralph Lauren beige blazer over her shoulders, paired with a vest and trousers in the same shade.
