Opera star Carly Paoli back in KL for A Journey Through Time

Singer Carly Paoli.

From humble beginnings in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, Carly Paoli has captured millions of hearts around the world with her voice, including Pope Francis’. “Carly is beautiful and very talented,” said Monsignor Liberio Andreatta, secretary to the Pope, when the mezzo soprano was chosen to sing Ave Maria, the official song of the Pope’s Jubilee celebration this year. “Her voice brings across the emotion of this important song in a beautiful way.”

Since her debut in 2014, the 27-year-old has collaborated with Jose Carreras, Andrea Bocelli, Elaine Paige and David Foster. She’s also performed at St James’s Palace, Windsor Castle, St Paul’s Cathedral, Terme di Caracalla and Carnegie Hall. In December 2016, she’ll perform in Rome again at Auditorium Parco della Musica for La Dolce Vita: The Music Of Italian Cinema, accompanied by OrchestraRoma Sinfonietta, led by maestro Steven Mercurio.
