Blind school teacher inspires students to set their sights on success

There’s none so blind as those who will not see. And for educator M. Thavasothy, who was born blind, his sights are set on teaching people to see the bright side of life. 

His name means brightness, but when “Thava” was born, his world was one of darkness. But M. Thavasothy, now 62, makes no excuses for being blind and blames no one for his inability to see. Instead, his lost of sight has spurred him to make an even better life for himself and his family.
