Phone booth converted into public shower at Germany's Baltic Sea

Step into a telephone booth at Germany's north-eastern beaches, and you may get a soaking instead of a dial tone. That's because tourists at one Baltic Sea resort town are now being offered a newly converted shower booth.

Designed for a quick rinse with a view of the sea, the former telephone booth is one of thousands across Germany - and all across the planet - to have been decommissioned in the era of smartphones, but possibly the only one now finding a second life as a shower.
