Fathers Day falls on the third Sunday of June every year. It’s a special day to celebrate fathers. Do you have a present for your father? If you haven’t decided on a gift, how about making a card or bookmark for Dad? We’re pretty sure he would love your thoughtful gesture.

Eight-year-old Saraneya Jay Kumar thinks the world of her father. “My father is a kind and honest person. He listens to my problems and helps me solve them. He is my greatest strength. I love him very much.”
“My father is both funny and serious. When I have done something wrong, my father will hold a cane to scare us. When he is in a good mood, he tells us jokes to make my sister and I laugh, ” says Chia Yee Fern, 9.

Six-year-old Lakshmi Panicker loves her father for all the wonderful things he does for the family. “My father is a bone doctor (orthopaedist). He is kind-hearted. I love him because he always buys strawberry candies for me.”
Seven-year-old Jane Ng Ai Wen thinks her father is superb. “He can cook yummy food for me. He is strict but brings me joy. I love my dad.”
“My father is a hero. He is helpful and loving. I want to wish my father a blessed Happy Fathers Day, ” writes Yasvwan Sugumarum, 10.
“My daddy is the best daddy in the world. He makes me laugh and play with us although he is tired. He always buys my favorite food and toys. I love you so much, Daddy, ” writes Lim Jo Ern, 6.

ITEM: World Emoji Day is celebrated on July 17. It’s a day dedicated to emojis and the enjoyment that using them brings. There are many emojis ranging from smileys, angry faces, animals and even popular food and drink. What are some of your favourite emojis?
