TVB actor Tsui Wing is earning praise as a devoted father after opening up about the sacrifices he has made to support his two children's dreams.

In a recent interview with Hong Kong media, the 51-year-old revealed that he limits himself to spending just HK$100 (RM50) a day so he can support his son and daughter in pursuing careers as a footballer and idol, respectively.

"All my earnings and savings are managed by my wife to cover household expenses, operate my hotpot business and handle other investments," he said.

Tsui added that relying solely on acting income isn't sustainable amid changes in the entertainment industry, which is why he has been seeking other sources of income.

Despite previously losing a six-figure sum when his tutoring centre failed during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Come Home Love star bounced back by investing over HK$1mil (RM501,639) with friends to launch a hotpot business.

According to HK01, Tsui's sacrifices are beginning to bear fruit, with both of his children making steady progress toward their respective dreams.

His 19-year-old son Karson has already completed football training in England, while his 10-year-old daughter Kerry is currently training at an idol academy in Hong Kong.

The actor said that seeing his children pursue their dreams is the greatest reward for all his years of hard work.
