Hong Kong film mogul Tiffany Chen has publicly slammed the girlfriend of her younger son Jonathan for supposedly being a negative influence on him.

In a recent video posted on social media, the 67-year-old claimed Jonathan, 39, has changed significantly since the relationship began, saying he has become unmotivated, unwilling to work, more distant from family and increasingly irritable.

She lamented that the relationship brings no benefit to her son, adding: "She's a burden. I won't meet or acknowledge this kind of woman. Even if you get married, I still won't accept it."

Chen also stressed that her standards for a daughter-in-law aren't based on looks or family background, but on whether the woman can help her son become a better person.

It's worth noting that Chen shares a much warmer relationship with Taiwanese actress Bea Hayden, who has been married to her older son Jacky for six years.

She previously praised Hayden, 42, for her calm and positive personality, saying it encouraged Jacky, also 42, to become more driven in life.

According to Hong Kong news portal HK01, Jonathan has long been a source of concern for both Chen and his father, film producer Charles Heung.

In 2015, he was sentenced to six months behind bars after assaulting a taxi driver.

Chen later admitted that Jonathan was spoiled in his younger years, having developed dependency issues due to unrestricted financial support.

Presently, Jonathan has reportedly been cut off from direct contact by his parents amid arguments over inheritance arrangements and is only given a basic monthly allowance.

He was photographed at a bar in Nanchang, China, earlier this month, where his girlfriend was seen smoking and drinking.
