The Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation is set to bring Hong Kong cinema to Kuala Lumpur from Aug 21 to 30 at Aurum Theatre, The Exchange TRX, as part of an effort to promote the industry internationally and strengthen ties between Asian film industries.
The lineup comprises opening film Afterpiece, alongside Bird Of Paradise, Wakesurf Lovers, Unidentified Murder, Palimpsest: The Story Of A Name and Dog Day Evening.
Audiences will also have the opportunity to meet the stars of the featured films on Aug 21 at Aurum Theatre, where they will share their experiences and insights into the filmmaking process behind their respective projects.

Rounding out the sessions, Jin will reflect on her journey in the performing arts and how she has connected with audiences throughout her career, while Wu will offer her perspective as a new-generation female director.
Throughout the Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation, audiences can also explore the Prisms Pulse: Hong Kong Cinema In Full Colour exhibition at Aurum Theatre, which draws inspiration from Hong Kong's vibrant city lights and features visuals from the six participating films.
