Hong Kong actor Ray Lui has once again left netizens marvelling at his youthful appearance, with some joking that the 69-year-old looks young enough to be the son of his own peers.

Lui recently attended a reception marking the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China with his wife, Chinese businesswoman Yang Xiaojuan.

Dressed in a sharp burgundy suit, the actor posed for photos with several celebrity guests, including Hong Kong filmmaker Derek Yee.

Although the two are just a year apart in age, netizens joked that they looked more like father and son than friends.

Others also dug up a photo of Lui with his 25-year-old son from last year, with some saying the pair could easily pass for brothers.

“His skin is smooth, and he looks so youthful, like he is in his early 30s. It is unbelievable that he does not look anywhere near 70,” one user wrote on the Chinese social media site Weibo.

Another commented: “If you told me he was 40, I would believe it. He is practically a textbook example of ageless charm!”

Lui has previously shared some of the habits he follows to stay fit and maintain his youthful appearance.

In June, the To Be Number One (1991) star revealed a squat variation that he regularly incorporates into his routine.

He has also shared the recipe for his homemade detox drink, which he says is part of his approach to maintaining good health and a radiant appearance.

The blend includes celery, bitter gourd, carrot and apple, finished with a splash of lemon juice.

On another occasion, Lui highlighted onions as an important part of his diet, calling them “smart vegetables” and saying they help promote gut health.
