The Energy Transition and Water Transformation Ministry (Petra) has officially premiered its 2026 Aidilfitri short film, Tak Terjawab (Unanswered).
While the film delivers a heart-tugging narrative on loss and spiritual discovery, it also serves as a gentle yet meaningful reflection of Petra’s broader mission to the nation.
The film stars regional sensation Anna Jobling, Julia Farhana and Muhsin Nadzli, but the highlight of the production is a special cameo by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who also serves as the Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister.
A narrative of mindfulness and sustainability
Beyond its heartfelt story, Tak Terjawab is woven with an underlying call for greater mindfulness in how we live. Through everyday moments depicted in the film—from quiet acts of care to scenes of community life—the narrative subtly highlights the importance of sustainable and energy-conscious choices.

Surprisingly, the film has also revealed the impressive acting range of the officials involved. Similarly, Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad, secretary-general Datuk Seri Mad Zaidi Mohd Karli and IWK chief executive officer Narendran Maniam, seamlessly transition into their roles, bringing a human touch to the ministry's leadership.
Commenting on the creative direction, the film’s scriptwriter, Ayu Syuhara, shared: “We wanted Tak Terjawab to resonate on multiple levels.
