South Korean artiste Hyoyeon came to Malaysia in December 2024 for the United Music Festival in Kuala Lumpur and Flamewave Music Festival in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

During her stay in both cities, the 35-year-old didn’t pass up the opportunity to indulge in some of our local delicacies and explore various tourist attractions.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday (April 8), Hyoyeon, who debuted as a member of the popular K-pop group Girls’ Generation in 2007, shared a series of pictures from her Malaysian getaway.

Among the snapshots were two of her posing in front of some vibrant graffiti at Kwai Chai Hong lane in KL’s Chinatown and another of her strolling along Jalan Alor in Bukit Bintang.

The Gee hitmaker also posted beach photos from Kota Kinabalu and images of the dishes she savoured during her time in Malaysia, including curry laksa, butter prawns and okra, among others.

Her post was simply captioned: “Last time in Malaysia.”

Hyoyeon had previously uploaded a vlog documenting her time in KL earlier in February.

At the time, she was seen shopping for clothes, taking pictures near Petaling Street and tucking into a plate of perfectly grilled chicken wings.
