Hong Kong actor Shawn Yue was recently spotted having a family meal with his ex-wife, Taiwanese model Sarah Wang, and their two children, three months after the couple announced the end of their nearly nine-year marriage.

According to Dimsum Daily, the former couple dined at a barbeque restaurant in Taipei's Dazhi area before leaving separately in their Mercedes G-Class vehicles and returning to their former family home.

Yue, 44, and Wang, the daughter of a Taiwanese belt manufacturer, married in 2017. They have two children, son Cody and daughter Celest.

On July 20, both Yue and Wang announced their separation through separate black-and-white Instagram posts, saying they would continue to co-parent their children.

The couple had already sparked speculation about the state of their marriage before the announcement. Yue deleted many of his Instagram posts and left the words "Reset and restart" on his account. They were also rarely seen together in public for almost two years.

When contacted by the media about them dining together, Dimsum Daily reported that Wang's agency gave a brief response, saying the family was "happily and positively living each day" and thanking the public for its concern.

The family meal also came shortly before Yue left for China to film the 2026 edition of the mainland variety show Call Me By Fire.

While Yue was filming in Hunan, Wang reportedly brought their children and Yue's mother to the show to support him.

On Oct 2, Yue shared a group photo from the programme with a caption about having family accompany him at work. While he also posted a photo of Wang with Chinese actor Vin Zhang, joking that she “came for him", the photo is now missing from the Instagram.
