Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman is eagerly counting down the hours to his wedding to Malaysian singer-actress Bella Astillah tomorrow (Oct 10).

The couple, who got engaged on March 28, are set to tie the knot at Menara Merdeka Maybank in Kuala Lumpur.

In an Instagram post on Thursday (Oct 8), Syed Saddiq, 34, shared a pre-wedding video featuring Bella, 32, which is believed to have been filmed in London.

The former youth and sports minister said his life's journey had ultimately led him to Bella, adding that he was looking forward to embarking on a new chapter as a husband.

"A thousand moments led me to you. Only 38 hours remain before we end our era of singlehood," he wrote in the caption.

Speaking further about the new journey they are about to begin, Syed Saddiq described the marriage as the start of a life that will no longer revolve around himself alone, but around the two of them together.

"After this, a new chapter of life begins. It will no longer be about myself, but about the two of us," he said.

Bella and Syed Saddiq will hold a reception for family, relatives and friends in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 18.

The couple will later celebrate their marriage with the public through two receptions themed "Kenduri Rakyat", to be held in Muar, Johor, on Oct 25 and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, on Oct 31.

Bella, whose full name is Dayang Nabellah Awang Astillah, previously married Singaporean singer-actor Aliff Aziz in September 2016 and welcomed two children with him – Mohamed Ayden Adrean, nine; and Ara Adreanna, six.

The pair first divorced on May 16, 2019 but reconciled shortly after. They divorced for a second time on June 13, 2024.
