Singer-actress Bella Astillah has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her husband, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, for choosing her as his life partner despite being aware of her imperfections.
Bella, whose real name is Dayang Nabellah Awang Astillah, 32, also pledged to fulfil her responsibilities to the best of her ability.
“Thank you for choosing me. I know I am not perfect, and there are many other choices out there.
“But InsyaAllah (God willing), I will do my best to be an obedient and pious wife,” she told Syed Saddiq following their wedding ceremony on Oct 10.
Bella and Syed Saddiq, 33, tied the knot at 10.41am in a ceremony held at Level 118 of Merdeka 118 Precinct in Kuala Lumpur.
The marriage was solemnised by former Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, who acted as the representative of Bella's father, Awang Astillah Abdullah, or Dullah.
The couple got engaged on March 28 after years of close friendship.
This is Bella’s second marriage. She was previously married to Singapore-born singer Aliff Aziz in September 2016. They divorced on May 16, 2019, before reconciling, but eventually separated for a second time on June 13, 2024.
Bella has two children from her previous marriage, Mohamed Ayden Adrean, nine, and Ara Adreanna, six.
