Malaysian actors Fazura and Fattah Amin divorce after 7 years of marriage

By MSTAR

Malaysian actors Fattah Amin and Nur Fazura have officially divorced today (Oct 7).

The divorce was granted after Fattah, 34, proclaimed the talak before Syarie Judge Abdul Malek Soleh at the Petaling Syariah Lower Court in Subang Bestari, Shah Alam, at around 9.45am.

Following the proceedings, Fazura was seen leaving the courtroom in tears.

Speaking to reporters present at the scene, the 41-year-old actress: “I’m not upset with the divorce. It’s not a decision that’s made in a short time. I’ve suffered for years. I’ve thought about it for a long time already.”

Fazura also listed her reasons for divorcing Fattah – including his inability to provide financial support, having an affair while they were still married and irreconcilable differences.

“Fattah (failed to provide) financial support for me and my child Fatima. We can’t see eye to eye anymore. I’ve been unhappy for a long time.

“There was also cheating on Fattah's side. I have proof,” she said as quoted by mStar, The Star’s Malay-language news portal.

Fazura filed for a divorce from Fattah on Sept 13.

The former couple, who share a four-year-old daughter, were married on Nov 27, 2017.
