SUBANG BESTARI: Actor Abdul Fattah Mohd Amin is not ready to divorce his wife, Nur Fazura Sharifuddin, said his lawyer, Zulkifli Che Yong.
He said Fattah Amin (34) is trying to reach a settlement with Fazura (40) amicably.
Sinar Harian reported on Wednesday (Sept 25) that the divorce application was mentioned before Syariah Court judge Abdul Malik Soleh.
"Fattah, as the defendant, will state his position, whether he agrees to divorce Fazura or otherwise, on Oct 7.
"This is a court proceeding, so there is no justification for my client to state the facts of the case because it will only prejudice the case," said Zulkifli.
The couple, who married in November 2017 has a four-year-old daughter.
On September 17, a statement about a divorce application involving the couple went viral. The application was made under Section 47 of the Enactment of the Islamic Family Law (Selangor State) 2003.
