It was a marvel-lous reaction.
The Avengers cast had a super response to co-star Chris Evans being crowned People’s Sexiest Man Alive, according to Thor star Chris Hemsworth.
“We have an Avengers text chain and it very quickly was like, ‘What are you doing with your hands back there?’” the 39-year-old Aussie said Monday (Nov 14) on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Hemsworth was referencing the 41-year-old Captain America star’s pose on the magazine cover, which hit stands earlier this month.
Evans in his cover interview was plenty prepared for how his pals would take his newest achievement – noting it’s one that’s “ripe for harassment”.
“Really, this will just be a point of bullying,” he told People.
It’s hardly the first time Evans’ physique has been celebrated, either by a faction of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or viral headlines.
Evans’ Steve Rogers – whose superhero alter ego is Captain America – is referred to in Avengers: Endgame as having “America’s a—.”
A NSFW snap Evans inadvertently shared on Instagram in September 2020 broadcast his penis to the world before it was quickly taken down.
“Look, it was an interesting weekend full of lessons learned, lots of teachable moments,” Evans told The Tamron Hall Show on the heels of the incident.
