Japanese-Brazilian artiste Lisa Ono is set to bring her Love To Love – An Evening Of Bossa Nova concert to Malaysia on July 3.

Scheduled for 8pm at Zepp Kuala Lumpur, the upcoming show promises a memorable evening filled with the warmth, rhythm and sophistication that have defined Ono's 37-year music career.

The singer will also be joined onstage by her Japanese bossa nova ensemble.

Bossa nova, the genre defining Ono's signature sound, is a blend of samba and jazz that emerged in 1956 from a guitar school in Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana neighbourhood.

Born in Brazil, Ono moved to Japan with her family at age 10, growing up immersed in both Brazilian and Japanese cultures.

She began singing and playing the guitar at 15 and made her debut as a professional bossa nova singer in 1989, when she was 27.

To date, Ono, 63, has released over 40 albums and worked with musicians such as Antonio Carlos Jobim and Joao Donato.

Her music blends Brazilian rhythms with a graceful sensibility, creating a timeless sound that continues to captivate listeners across generations.

Among her celebrated albums are Nana, Menina and Bossa Hula Nova.

Tickets for Love To Love – An Evening of Bossa Nova are priced from RM258 to RM888 via www.cloudjoi.com.
