Singaporean actor Aliff Aziz has extended his well wishes to his ex-wife, Malaysian artiste Bella Astillah, following news of her engagement to Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

Speaking at a recent Raya open house in Kuala Lumpur, Aliff revealed that he first learned about the engagement through social media.

“I saw a few short clips, and honestly speaking, I wish them all the best. I’m really happy for them,” the 35-year-old said, as quoted by Harian Metro.

Aliff added that part of his happiness stemmed from seeing the joy on his children’s faces during the engagement ceremony.

He shares two children with Bella – Mohamad Ayden Adrean, nine; and Ara Adreanna, six.

“Seeing my children happy to be there makes me happy too. They’re always in my prayers. To the newly engaged couple, I pray this union will last for generations to come,” he said.

For the record, Syed Saddiq, 33, proposed to Bella, 32, while climbing Mount Kinabalu together earlier in January.

The pair got engaged at a ceremony held in KL on March 28 and said they would be getting married this year.

Bella was previously married to Aliff, whom she divorced for the second time in June 2024, following his khalwat (close proximity) scandal with local actress Ruhainies.

The former couple, who tied the knot in September 2016, first divorced in July 2019 but reconciled a few months later.
