Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has left the planning of his wedding entirely to actress Bella Astillah, saying he wants their big day to unfold just as she has envisioned.

The 33-year-old said he is not overly concerned with wedding preparations, as he is more focused on life after marriage.

Syed Saddiq and Bella are expected to tie the knot later this year.

“I’ve left the wedding planning to Bella because she’s better at it. Whatever makes her happy, I’ll go along with it.

“The process of the wedding itself isn’t as important – what matters more is the outcome, which is our life together as husband and wife.

“Insya-Allah, we will get married this year,” he told mStar, The Star's Malay-language portal.

Syed Saddiq expressed gratitude for the public’s prayers, which he said have played a significant role in their relationship.

“I feel that the prayers of Malaysians have made a big difference. Although this wasn’t planned in the beginning, God’s plan is truly remarkable.

“What started as a working relationship eventually led us here (to our engagement). I’m very grateful that in times of hardship, God has rewarded me with something far greater.

“For me, Bella is the greatest gift in my life,” he added.
